Last year, Chef Alexandra Feswick organized an extraordinary event created by and for Toronto’s female chefs. It was so successful, she’s doing it again on December 3rd. Here is her press release about this exciting evening.<\/p>\n

FOR THE 2ND<\/sup> EDITION OF THE DINNER PARTY<\/i><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

A Fundraising Dinner Inspired By The Famed Artwork Installation by Judy Chicago <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Alexandra Feswick<\/a> and Kristina Chau of Not Your Average Party<\/a> are delighted to announce that The Dinner Party<\/i> will be hosted at The Great Hall<\/a> for the second year in a row.\u00a0 After the overwhelming success The Dinner Party<\/i> collected last year, it is anticipated that December 3rd<\/sup>, 2013 will mark yet another wonderful, and playful celebration of female culinary talent in the city of Toronto \u2013 one not to be missed.<\/p>\n

These noted chefs will be challenged to co-create a tasting menu for this sensational interpretation of Judy Chicago\u2019s artwork installation, The Dinner Party in commemoration of women who have inspired them.\u00a0 The Great Hall, home of Samuel J Moore \u2013 represented by Feswick – will host some of Toronto\u2019s best female chefs:\u00a0 Tara Lee (Skin & Bones<\/a>), Trish Gill (The Dock Ellis<\/a>), Tiffany Wong (Pizzeria Libretto<\/a>), Charlotte Langley (Catch<\/a>) and Leonie Lilla (The Libertine<\/a>).\u00a0 2013\u2019s Toronto\u2019s Hottest Chef<\/i> Leah Wildman (Fit Squad<\/a>) will be heading up dinner pairings while the lovely Miriam Streiman (Mad Maple<\/a>) will MC for the evening.<\/p>\n

The icing on the cake:\u00a0 some of Ontario\u2019s most talented male chefs will be serving things up: Dustin Gallagher (Acadia<\/a>), Alex Molitz (The Farmhouse Tavern<\/a>), Jeff Crump (Earth To Table<\/a>), Rocco Agoistino (Pizzeria Libretto<\/a>), Scott Bailey (Compass Restaurant<\/a>) and Basilio Pesce (Porzia<\/a>).\u00a0 The event is a celebration of female Chef\u2019s with the support of some of the city\u2019s most notable, talented and spirited male Chef\u2019s.\u00a0 \u201cThey all support and believe in what we\u2019re doing and having them work with us tonight is my hope that the community will see us working together: while changing these typical expectations about the inherent rolls of men and women in a restaurant.\u201d (Feswick, The Dinner Party, 2012).<\/p>\n

The dinner will be held at 7pm<\/b> at The Great Hall<\/b>, 1087 Queen St. West at Dovercourt on Tuesday December 3rd<\/sup>, 2013<\/b>.\u00a0 Prices are $120<\/b> and include alcohol pairings and tax.\u00a0 All proceeds will be donated to I Walk for Water<\/a>.<\/p>\n
